«Although when he wrote, “We two form a multitude,” the Roman poet Ovid wasn’t talking about the UK band Rival Bones, he might as well have been. After all, the North West England duo play with such muscle, heart and nerve, they sound like a band that has far more than just two members.
But they don’t.
Comprised of James Whitehouse and Chris Thomason, Rival Bones are a band of such ferocity and truth, they bring to mind the sonic power of everyone from Audioslave to Queens of The Stone Age.
Coming together when Whitehouse was auditioning drummers for a five-piece combo in late 2014, when he heard Thomason play he decided to scratch that idea and approached him with the idea of forming a duo. Discovering they had a joint appetite for soaring riffs, explosive bass drums and emotive vocals, it was clear early on that Thomason and Whitehouse had the right idea—they were a self-sufficient unit needing no additional members to stretch their aural wingspan.»

«Composed by the 4 actual members : Vincent « Vince » Duruflé (former leader of Phobies), Alex « Couillette » Richard (former guitarist of Phobies & 91dB), Stèven « Boubou » Boudeau and Alex Willig (former drummer of Adversus, Paris Will Not Burn).
They composed and recorded their first demo at Alien Studio, on April 2018.»
